Solo City Traditional Antiques MarketOne of the traditional markets around Mangkunegaran Palace is Windujenar Market or as known Pasar Triwindu In this market sell a wide variety of antiques. It's really an antique because not all places sell that same goods.
If you are interested in ancient or antique items then hunt for a bargain in this market is very precise. But you should know is the price of goods in this place is not a fixed price so you should be able to bid or at least ask your guide.
Tips for buying goods in this place is, do not immediately show interest in an item but behave like just want to look around. Also offered while passed, it means not to bargain while waiting for an answer merchant. Walking around around and then when the trader is no longer lower the price mean it is close to the price anyway.

Mangkunegaran palace
After the last post we talked about Surakarta Hadiningrat Palace, now we will show you Mangkunegaran Palace. Mangkunegaran Palace is a kingdom led by a king called Mangkunegoro. Mangkunegoro formerly also part of the Surakarta Hadiningrat Kingdom that because it has a different ideological views and then decide to separate themselves from the Surakarta Hadiningrat Kingdom. Location Mangkunegaran Palace not far from Surakarta Hadiningrat Palace is about 1 mile.
Currently, both the palace over to the palace of culture because they are have no power of government. But the palace is also quite interesting to visit, although not as wide as Surakarta Hadiningrat Palace.

Environment in the palace area offers hospitality and tranquility while living.
Roads in the the environment palace through by the friendly environmentally transportation such as becak, andong and angkot. So there is no problem to get to this place and when going into downtown.
Or if you want more to enjoy the atmosphere of the palace it is walked towards the main road is something that can be selected. Motor vehicle is relatively not a lot so it create a clean air atmosphere.
Get the friendly attitude of local residents if we stay around the place.

The houses around the palace formerly home to "Abdi Dalem" that is the king's servent, but over time, many were converted to house residents. Well, here a lot to offer home stay relatively cheap cost.

Solo City has 2 palaces, which until now, although activity was still limited to the cultural activities that is Surakarta Hadiningrat Palace and Palace of Mangkunegaran.
Surakarta Hadiningrat Palace is headed by a king with the title Pakubuwono while of Mangkunegaran Palace is headed by a king called Mangkunegoro.
Both palace is a cultural heritage that still must be maintained as a witness to history and also a major tourist destination in the city of Solo.
Inside the palace there are many relics that can tell the history of the past although not as much as formerly. From these relics we can imagine what a great power of the two kingdoms are owned in the past. The powers include the government, culture and social and religious.
To enter the palace we will be charged a fee ranging from Rp 15 thousand or U.S. $ 1.5.

As a suggestion, to locations in Keprabon is about 10-50 meters from the main road Slamet Riyadi. You can just walk away and when you arrived on Main Street You can just choose a bus transportation, taxi, angkot, becak
Bus
Economic bus (non air-conditioner) with a rate of Rp 2 thousand, bus with air conditioner with a rate of Rp 3 thousand and Batik Solo Trans (executive) rates to Rp 3 thousand. All rates are valid far and near, which means that if our goal is much the same rates apply when we are near the goal.
Taxi.
Almost all taxis in the city of Solo to use metered, I recommend only using the air meter taxi. There are many taxis as Kosti Solo, Central Taxis Solo, Solo Taxi, Taxi Crown Solo, and Solo Taxi Gelora.
